Since it was established in 1972, NWW has worked to develop affordable housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NWW individuals currently live in six group homes managed by NWW and in affordable apartment units. All NWW homes are in attractive neighborhoods with easy access to stores, libraries, banks and other community services. Nancy Slamin, NWW's Executive Director, is a former recipient of the Robert Swett Excellence in Housing Award, given by the City of Newton for her efforts to develop affordable housing.
