NWW operates an independent living program for those individuals able to live on their own with support services. Each person in the program can receive up to fifteen hours of support services each week. These include money management, help with daily living skills, medical case management, in-home personal care, assistance with transportation, help with housecleaning and food shopping, and instruction in emergency notification procedures.
The staff assists individuals in getting to appointments and to enjoyable recreational activities in the community. Each resident participates in a day program, or works in a supported setting or competitive job, or enjoys retirement activities.
